Crafted in England, by sculptor and master Yeoman Basketmaker, Eddie Glew. Each basket is handmade, with a dedication to preserving traditional techniques, materials and forms. Woven from the finest British willow, a craft passed down through generations. Eddie learned his skills from his late father; a lineage rooted in continuation through practice. The baskets take inspiration from medieval storage chests, found in stately homes. A historical reference that informs the form construction and decorative language throughout. Each basket is finished with leather detailing, developed in collaboration with a London-based leather craftsperson. The vegetable-tanned leather, in a rich chocolate brown, features applied leather straps and flower motifs on the exterior, matched with flower-shaped washers on the interior. All leather details are secured with gunmetal-finish hardware throughout, precisely engineered to accommodate the organic nature of the woven form. JW ANDERSON presents a Blanket Basket, a Laundry Basket, a Log Basket, crafted in collaboration with Blithfield Willowcrafts.
