A Gold and Diamond-Set Blue Enamel Heart Locket A heart-shaped locket enamelled in a vivid bright blue, centred with a delicate silver pansy set throughout with rose-cut diamonds. In Victorian symbolism, the pansy, derived from the French pensée, meaning “to think” forms a sentimental rebus when paired with the heart motif: a message of remembrance, of holding a loved one close to the heart and ever in one’s thoughts. The locket opens to reveal a compartment for a portrait or keepsake, deepening its intimate meaning.
