Crafted in Kilkenny, Ireland, this collaboration with Nicholas Mosse brings together JW Anderson’s design language with a legacy of Irish ceramic craftsmanship. Founded in 1976 by Nicholas and Susan Mosse, the studio is known for Irish Spongeware pottery; simple, expressive forms hand-decorated with patterns inspired by the Irish landscape. Each piece is made by hand through a meticulous 20-step process, from clay mixing to decoration. No two pieces are the same; each is individually sponged and painted, with subtle variations in pattern and finish. The maker’s mark is visible on every piece, underscoring the personal nature of the craft. JW Anderson presents a curated selection of everyday ceramics featuring small and large mugs, everyday plates, serving plates, small, angled bowls, salad bowls, and small cylinder jugs. The blue and white pig motif, revived from Nicholas Mosse’s archive, returns exclusively for this collection. A collaboration rooted in the tradition of the everyday, and a shared belief in craft, character, and longevity.
